DKSH offers support to shelter home for children
May 15, 2024
DKSH Corporate Shared Services Center (CSSC), the group’s global hub for leading Digital & IT services, Business Process Operations and other Group Functions in Malaysia recently showcased a heartfelt demonstration of corporate social responsibility (CSR) by undertaking a transformative visit to Shelter Home for Children, an NGO in Malaysia that shelters children who suffer from neglected or abandoned backgrounds and is supported mainly by the public.
The initiative was geared towards not only revitalizing the living space but also providing essential support. Additionally, DKSH Business Unit Performance Materials Malaysia assisted in getting 269 litres of paint sponsored by Smart Paint Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. Over 50 volunteers gathered at the shelter home armed with cleaning tools, and supplies. Over the course of the day, they worked tirelessly to spruce up the home, creating a safer and more comfortable environment for its residents. “The management of Shelter Home for Children, on behalf of Shelter 2, extends our gratitude to the DKSH team. The vibrant colours have brightened our space and created a homely environment, fostering a sense of calmness and comfort for our teenage girls. We understand that each paint stroke represents hours of your precious weekend, and your selflessness and commitment deeply moved us to make a difference in our girls’ lives. The contribution of essential groceries has eased our burden and ensured that our girls have access to necessities. The kindness and generosity have touched our hearts deeply, and we are grateful for the support. Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and for being a beacon of hope in our community.” said GP Joseph, Shelter Home for Children’s Senior Manager. “As we embark on this Giveback Day, we reaffirm our commitment to enriching lives beyond our business endeavors. Our visit to Shelter Home for Children is a tangible demonstration of one of DKSH’s core sustainability objectives, where we aim to empower and support those in need. Through acts of kindness and provision of essential supplies, we aspire to positively impact the lives of these young girls, fostering a journey of healing and hope,” Sam Oh, DKSH’s Chief Information Officer and head of DKSH CSSC, remarked. The visit to Shelter Home for Children underscores DKSH CSSC’s unwavering dedication and commitment to making a positive impact. Through initiatives like these, the company strives to foster a culture of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility among its employees. EXPLORE FURTHER |
