The Thermal Scanners and the Health Quarantine Centre at KLIA terminal are prepared and on high surveillance. Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, Director General of Health, Ministry of Health (MOH) noted on his Facebook posting that the roles played by these various health units at the airport and also other international entry points are very important in safeguarding the country from various potential communicable diseases from high risk areas.
At its best, public health is very often invisible. However for it to work best, it definitely requires investment and capacity building. The facilities are perhaps unknown and ‘invisible’ to many people, nevertheless they are part of what MOH does for the nation. |
