HEALTHCARE TRAVEL COUNCIL - AKTUEL COLLABORATE TO ENSURE CONTINUITY OF CARE FOR TRAVELLERS FROM TURKIVE JULY 21, 2022 @ 7.52AM
The Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Turkiye’s Aktuel Expo Healthcare International Fair Company (Aktuel). Signed by Mohd Daud Mohd Arif, Chief Executive Officer of MHTC, and Mehmet Okan Kaya, Chief Executive Officer of Aktuel, the MOU will pave the way for synergistic partnerships focused on marrying the distinct healthcare advantages and thought leadership of east and west to elevate the global healthcare travel industry whilst reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a safe and trusted healthcare travel destination.
The session was witnessed by Malaysia’s Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. Malaysia and the Republic of Turkiye have been enjoying close bilateral ties of nearly 60 years that have benefited both countries in various sectors. With the MOU, Malaysia would be able to leverage on our shared expertise in healthcare for the benefit of our nations, which will also allow Malaysia to complement existing healthcare offerings provided in the Republic of Turkiye. The partnership seeks to forge more pathways for collaborations between the medical fraternities in both countries, allowing for the organisation of continuous medical exchanges (CMEs), medical research, and training programmes, to name a few. It will also provide international patients from Turkiye easier access to top private hospitals in Malaysia through patient referrals that complement their existing healthcare system. “MHTC’s collaboration with Aktuel in Turkiye is a dynamic opportunity for both parties to share and develop industry thought leadership initiatives that can enhance international healthcare offerings for the global community. The blending of our specialties, representing the best of the east and west and patient referral programmes to name a few, will allow us to provide a true care experience in the form of Malaysian hospitality, cementing our commitment in providing quality healthcare is a safe and trusted environment,” said Mohd Daud Mohd Arif, Chief Executive Officer of MHTC. “Aktuel is proud to be working with MHTC as we jointly drive industry collaboration opportunities between our countries. Aktuel’s expertise in the global healthcare travel and wellness events platform will certainly contribute to the network building and brand awareness initiatives organised by MHTC.
