Maaedicare fundraiser ball delivers RM500,000 boost for kidney, cardiac patientsAugust 2, 2024
The Maaedicare Charitable Foundation celebrated 30 years with its 'Health for Humanity Fundraiser Ball 2024', to provide subsidized dialysis treatment along with affordable healthcare services. The event raised RM500,000, and will fund free dialysis for 256 patients for a month, and enhance heart health services and facilitate free healthcare at its Klinik Amal Percuma.
The Fundraiser was graced by Her Highness Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, Tunku Temenggong Kedah. Chairman Tunku Dato’ Yaacob Khyra highlighted that Maaedicare's commitment to affordable dialysis has remained strong, with treatment costs increasing minimally over 30 years due to efficient cost management, bulk purchasing of supplies, and careful management of investment funds. Tunku Yaacob added these crucial treatments have aided in providing better quality life to 24,000 dialysis patients, who have visited the foundation’s 11 dialysis centers over the years. The 'Health for Humanity Fundraiser Ball 2024' was a significant milestone for Maaedicare, reflecting both its enduring impact and the ongoing need for support by patients. Attendees from all walks of life came together to contribute to a cause that has touched the lives of thousands over the past 30 years. EXPLORE FURTHER |
